What a coincidence you posted this!
My mother tried to make me read this when I was a pre-teen. She brought home Wuthering Heights at the same time. I read neither since I was only interested in horror books: John Saul and Steven King were my passions.
Madison told me last night she is getting ready to read Wuthering Heights on her own accord and has to read Jane Eyre over the summer. I think I'll read along with her.
I've read neither - YET . . .
